“Karadayı” & “20 Dakika” invited to the Emmy Awards
The International Emmy committee as invited the leading performers of the Turkish series “Karadayı” & “20 Dakika”  to attend the 42nd International Emmy Awards Ceremonies.  Emmy awards are also awarded for series that air outside of the United States.
Producer Kerem Çatay of Ay Yapım was a juror during the 41st Emmy Awards, and this years his two series “Karadayı” & “20 Dakika” has been nominated.
The awards committee is currently evaluating the two series for competition in the “Best Series” competition, in addition they are also evaluating Kenan İmirzalıoğlu and İlker Aksum for the Best Actor Award, also Tuba Büyüküstün and  Bergüzar Korel for the Best Actress Award.
The committee has sent all four performers invitations to attend as nominees to the ceremony to be held in New York.
The winners will be announced sometime in the beginning of November 2014 with the winners being presented at the awards ceremony on 24 November 2014.
İlker Aksum told the newspaper Hürriyet “I am very proud for being nominated by the Academy for an Emmy.  If I am chosen I will be attending the ceremony.  I am hopeful that I will win, this would be a first for Turkey”
